Why we exist

Water in South Louisiana isn't one thing. City water on the Northshore is soft but treated with chlorine. Wells in Covington, Madisonville, and Bush pull from the same aquifer but can vary block to block in iron, sulfur, and hardness. Most homeowners never get a straight, specific answer about what's actually in their own water, just a generic sales pitch built around whatever system a company happens to sell.

We built Good Water Co around the opposite approach: test first, recommend what the test actually shows, and be upfront when an issue is cosmetic rather than something worth spending money on.

How we work

Good Water Co handles your water test, your recommendation, and your scheduling. The physical installation is completed by a licensed, insured Louisiana plumbing subcontractor, not an in-house crew we've assembled ourselves. We think that's worth being upfront about: it means every install is done by a credentialed professional plumber, and it's how we're able to keep pricing honest instead of padding it to support a large in-house labor force.

What we believe

• Local and personal. We're based on the Northshore and serve the parishes we actually live in.
• Plain-spoken, not jargon-dumped. We'll use real terms like NSF-certified and disinfection byproducts, and explain exactly what they mean for your home.
• No fear-based selling. Some issues, like sulfur smell, are a nuisance, not a danger, and we'll say so.
